Programs underpinned by the “100 languages” provide children with 100 and
more ways to express their thoughts,
theories and investigations.

Both indoors and outdoors, these opportunities enable the children to engage, interact,
explore and enjoy.

About Us

At St Peter's ELC children are given the opportunity and time to discover and explore, to question and predict, to wonder, to imagine and to dream. The wider world becomes the child's world.

St Peter's Early Learning Centre is a partnership in education between the Parish of St Peter's, Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak and St Kevin's College, Toorak.

St Peter's Early Learning Centre opened in 2002 and is situated in the beautiful sandstone Parish Church of St Peter's, Toorak. The environment has been designed to stimulate the children's exploration and investigation of their world within a secure and caring environment.

St Peter's ELC is co-educational and offers full day (8.45am - 2.45pm) programs to children in either Kindergarten (3 - 4 year old) room or Pre-Prep (4 - 5 year old) room. All classes have two teachers at all times. Before care operates from 8.00 - 8.45am and after care from 2.45 - 5.00pm.

The Reggio Emilia educational project and Howard Gardner's concepts of learning influence our integrated, educational play-centred program. The Christian values which underpin our Catholic ethos; understanding, integrity, justice, freedom and felicity are integral to the program.

"To open a child's mind to learning and discovery is a gift for life"

It is St Peter’s Early Learning Centre’s 10th birthday in 2012! Celebrations commence with our Welcome Mass and Family Picnic on Sunday 19 February. Please read the attached information for more details and check the ELC, Loreto and St Kevin’s Websites for more updates during the year.
